Either there is not enough savings, or we don’t have the courage or energy to take action, especially when we risk upending our everyday comforts and stable incomes. I lived my whole life in Switzerland, leading a relatively comfortable and privileged life, but my days were filled with the same routine. I worked in banking for 19 years with the same company. My husband and I were dreaming of a lifestyle that would allow us to work from anywhere and which would give us more flexibility to spend time with our families - on both sides of the world.
